Meet Josh Jones

Our Creative Strategist

Hi, I'm Josh Jones.

At 10 Creative I do a few things. As the longest standing employee, I started as an account manager, and have had the chance to build up a role that really suits my skills. I primarily do creative strategy and Illustration, however, as the team is growing I'm getting more involved in some internal coaching which is quite a cool new challenge.

Doing what I do, the part that I most enjoy is capturing the enthusiasm of some of the worlds leading experts, and helping to turn their ideas into compelling and understandable stories that can reach a much wider audience than before. Also getting to find out about all the mad tech that's going on in Cambridge.

My ideal cup of coffee is ideally an Ethiopian Yirgacheffe, natural process, light roast, either as a V60 or a Chemex.

My best-kept secret is ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Nice try.

I never leave the house without probably like 15 pencils, and at least 2 notebooks.

Before I die I will visit Japan. But if there's any chance of going to space I'm pretty up for that.

My top 3 pet peeves are:
1.
Multiple songs playing over each-other (Which happens a surprising amount).
2.
When people use totally relative quantities, like "not too much".
3
. Unclear signage/wayfinding.
4.
People who don't clearly read the question.

Instruments that I have attempted to play include I'm not good at any of these, but I can play a few things on the following: Guitar, Bass, Banjo, Violin, Ukulele, Piano, Organ, Synthesizers, Drums, Trumpet, Theremin, oh and I like singing.

The one dish that I can cook better than anybody else is I make a pretty good caponata.

When I was a kid, my favourite toy was it very much depends on the year, either my 1995 Electronic Millennium Falcon, or my 1997 Ultra Class Optimus Primal. I was also into beanie babies for a while.

My favourite day out within 60 miles is probably hanging out with my family, especially if we're doing something dumb like hitting each-other with swords.

If I could have any superpower it would be stopping time/time control.

The book that changed my life is Lord of the rings - it made me a nerd. I guess that changed my life. I used to be a Jock.

Every single day I try and stress less, and live more. Still trying to meditate.
